Again, From The "Be Careful What You Wish For" Department

So I have to wonder, attorney's never ask a question in court that they do NOT know the answer to already, because a simple miscalculation like that can undo all they've done in their cases. So where the fuck are the attorneys in the current regime in D.C.? They've finally boiled all their lies about starting a war in Iraq to, "bringing a shining example of democracy to the middle east so that other, democratically starved theocracies will cry out for freedom and force their mullah's hands to allow a vote. Let's see how's that going?

  1. Iraq, sectarian strife in the government because of the alleged civil war there.
  2. Israel/Palestine, Hamas overwhelmingly elected to parliament, a U.S. declared terrorist organization.
  3. Egypt, The Islamic Brotherhood making huge strides until squelched by their President
  4. Now, Turkey, the Islamic candidate, is elected. The Army calls bullshit, and reschedules an election.Anywhere
else in the world this would be called a coup d'tat but because we DO NOT WANT Islamic government's we look the other way. So great goobly-moobly, what are we to do?
I think at this point the only thing to do is to either declare war on Islam, and get the inevitable World War III started and then out of the way, maybe removing organized religion from the face of the world. Or admit to ourselves (read: our misguided regime) that the world does NOT think the same way we (them --Washington) would like them to think, and let them decide for themselves and work with the product of their decisions. Otherwise just go balls out, and fix the problem like Patton would. Fucking drive them under with massive firepower here-to-fore unknown on this earth. But this would require, because of insurgency and the fact that terrorists will build bombs in a spare bedroom, and when that house is bombed cry that we killed their children (yeah, maybe but who was hiding behind them?), we'd have to take out EVERYONE in the targeted countries, yes, men, women, children, and the elderly. Not exactly a genocide, but with losses so sever as to be considered one. It's the only possible way to win in a war like this/that, where you can't tell indigenous friend from foe. just like a Middle-Eastern Etch-A-Sketch, pick the whole fucker up and shake until it's a clean slate. Two countries get a taste of that, the others would fall in line.

I for one, don't want to live in that kind of country. I hope it doesn't come to that, but it appears to be time to shit or get off the pot. Come big or stay at home, I was always told, never fight unless you plan to win. We planned to be greeted as liberators, then fucked that. We should have stayed in Afghanistan and finished that job first, that had the possibility to become the shining beacon of democracy Bi-curious George W. wanted. But no, Saddam, tried to kill his daddy, so Texas justice had to prevail. Texas Justice to date has gotten 3,404 US Soldiers killed and 24,645 wounded. All this still going on over four years since that malevolent idiot flew onto an aircraft carrier in a jump suit and declared "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq.

Fuck that liar, he's done more to fuck over this country than any man in history. His thugs and he will one day be chased through the streets like the criminals they are.

Life in Hell in a Bottle update

So it's been a good solid week since, I hung up my shot glass for a tea cup, or some other BS expression.

It's now actually been 8 days without drinking, and I have to say I don't miss it. Yesterday was a true test too, I've been really slammed at work, very broke, and things keep cropping up I need to throw money at. So why should yesterday be different? Because the one rock in my life, my car, started making a hellish grinding noise, particularly on left turns and on the highway (I travel a lot by auto). Because I drive a lot for work too, I had to get it looked at right away, and so I take it in, it needs brakes and rotors and when the guy was taking the tire off, he cuts himself on the steel belt poking through the rubber. So, I'm screwed. I had to borrow money to get my car.
Then I played the role of emotional tampon to a friend who's going through a break-up.
Short story, long, after a hellish day and a bad week, while I was tempted to go get blasted, I instead, fell asleep watching the Indians, and woke up before my alarm and actually feel pretty good. Although I did forget my phone at home on the charger, that's just because I never charge it at home.

Veganism, didn't cause this but I still don't understand veganism

Ok So I know this isn't all vegans, but I can't really understand vegans at all. And I can understand vegetarians, but to not use ANY animal products? "Honey exploits bees"?, GO FUCK YOURSELF!

And when your newborn starts getting smaller, maybe your fucking brain has withered.

Vegan Parents Guilty Of Starving Son

POSTED: 4:59 pm EDT May 2, 2007
UPDATED: 5:16 pm EDT May 2, 2007
..startindex-->A jury in Atlanta found the parents of a baby fed only a vegan diet, guilty of malice murder.Their infant son weighed just 3 ½ pounds when he died. The boy's parents are vegans, meaning they do not consume any animal products.Prosecutors claimed the baby suffered a prolonged and painful death, not because of what he was fed, but because he was fed too little and that his nutritional needs were deliberately ignored by his parents.Late Wednesday afternoon, the father of the baby told the judge that wasn't true."We're vegetarians, we are against animal cruelty, so why would I be cruel to my son? Why would I do something with his body? We are against animals being murdered, why would we be cruel to him and try to do something to his body," asked Lamont Thomas.27-year-old Thomas criticized the prosecution and jury after he and his wife, Jade Sanders, were found guilty of malice murder in the death of their 6-week-old son, Crown.Prosecutors said the couple slowly starved the baby on a diet of soy milk and juice in such small quantities that he died of complications from malnourishment. The kitchen cupboards in the parents' apartment were empty at the time. But the father denied he caused his baby's death."The fact that we named him Crown, we were proud of him. We weren't trying to kill my son," Thomas said in court Wednesday. The jury convicted the couple after 5 hours of deliberations. They were also found guilty of felony murder which calls for a mandatory life prison sentence. The grandmother spoke in court and asked the judge to show mercy to the couple.

I became ordained --Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Well, I can now be referred to by my new title. Reverend Todd Dunbebin, I got ordained so that I can preform the marriage of my best friend Betty in June.
I figure it was about time to do this anyway. There's too many freaks preaching, lies, hell I know more about the Bible, Torah, Quran, Tao and Bagavadghita than most people.

It's my contention that there is a creator, but the "organized" religions got it all wrong, for political reasons in most cases. I believe in a more relaxed and homogenized version of the major monotheistic religions. Much like the Tower of Babel fragmented the languages of the Earth, I feel that this was about the same time, other interpretations of the Yahweh became subject to these misrepresentations, and it's been over a millennia since. Now is the time for a reconciliation.

As most rebels I expect nothing but resistance, but I guess I will soon be available for Weddings and Funerals and maybe even more. I have to get a Minister's licence from the State to be recognized, but I've already been ordained. I just need the "legitimacy" of the state to perform these tasks legally.

Would have been my mom's Birthday --Friday, November 10, 2006

Happy what would have been your 70th Birthday, Mom.

I still love you so much.
I miss you so much every day.

Browns vs. Ravens --Friday, September 29, 2006

well...

Was supposed to be on the browns blog Sunday 9/24/06
1530

I was hunkering down preparing for the worst. My boys go against their/my arch rival, the Crabcake-town Shit Birds. The Shit Birds have not allowed a touchdown all season, had a shut out in the first game of the season, and were the number one ranked defense coming into the week. Our offense, well, let's say maybe they should be talking to their doctor about impotency. Our Defense, while I've thought was OK, is tired, like an old man with emphysema rolling a rock up a hill.

1600

The round of shots had settled in and my air of good feeling of watching the Shitsburg Stealers get their ass handed to them by the Bungles, made me a bit hopeful, yet still. Out offense has been performing like Bart and Kyle* trapped in the quicksand with a $400 dollar hand cart. Out defense has had to get Gatorade air dropped during TV timeouts, they've been on the field so much. Knowing the Shit birds had Heir McNair at the helm worried me more than the last six years of Baltimore QB's.

Well, I have to say I enjoyed the game with the trepidation of a man who thought he was dying of cancer and his doctor had told him he had no tumor, but…don't make any long term plans. And of course this was played out as it turned out, I had no tumor but the Shit town luck wagon was about to knock me on my ass.

The things I took away from this were VERY positive. We looked like a fucking NFL team, albeit not a very good one. But also better than some, come on Raiders! Then we're against the damnable Panthers. Then we get a bye week. By the 22nd when we get home against Denver, we should either a) look like a decent NFL team starting to gel, that gives Phil Savage the headaches of trying to keep the core team together. Or, perhaps we'll be b) a giant orange and brown pile of crap waiting on the draft/free agency period, Crennel under fire, probably offering Carthon as his sacrificial lamb, while trying to talk Grantham into staying and not becoming a head coach elsewhere.

It does take time for an O-Line to gel, and we have three new linemen. It takes a new type of defense time this is the first year we're running a 3-4 with personnel familiar with it. Willie McGinst MUST play on this defense. He lights a fire on the defense that is otherwise non-existent

WE MAY BE OK, THIS SEASON; BUT JUST OK. Mind you, we're not going to do shit this year, at tops, third in the division. But there were some signs of life that were completely non-existent before. Hell, even the players looked like they thought they could win. Shit fires man, that's over half the battle; selling this philosophy to the players.

Fuck the Raiders….and Go Browns!

A poem my mother wrote --Wednesday, September 13, 2006

This is a poem my mother wrote to her mother. I read it for the first time today. It reminds me of something similar I wrote to my mom once, I'll post that if I can ever type it without balling too much. This made me cry enough.
I guess that tears and pain are part of the healing process; but right now they just feel like torture

FYI: I write about things that affect and/or effect me deeply, that's one of the ways I deal with it, if you don't like, don't read.

Mother

Bless you mother who understood.

Bless you mom you seemed to know that my eyes were dim and my wits were slow.

Bless you mom who looked away when I did something wrong yesterday.

Bless you mom with a cheery smile who always took time to chat for a while.

Bless you mom who knew the way to bring back memories of yesterday.

Bless you mom who seemed to known that I was loved and not alone.

Bless you mom who seemed to know when I was at a loss to find the strength to carry on.

Bless you mother who eased the days when I'd go home on lonely days.

--loved and missed by daughter Faye

Thanks friends ---Friday, September 08, 2006

This is a very impersonal thank you, to all my friends and family that have helped me in the last week in particular. Losing my mother and sitting with her and watching her die, was absolutely the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.
Talk about feeling powerless. I've always at least been able to at least punch something if I can't make it better. Well, I couldn't even do that.

But I did do the best I could with what I had to work with to see she didn't suffer and that all of her personal matters were attended to. My sister helped tremendously as well, coming in from California, and finally earned my respect after 38 years, I thought she'd be a big quivering mess. But she's a pretty sharp take charge lady, who cut through my relatives bullshit like a chain-saw through a kitten.

But she had her support system with her in her special lady friend, and I had mine with what IS my family. All you guys my friends, yes, even the not internet connected ones. You are all too numerous to thank, but there's no way I could have made it through this without you, and I'll probably still need you, because now I have to worry about me. Something I haven't done in a long time.

It sucks to be a grown-up.
It sucks to be an orphan.
But it's a part of life, the only way you don't hurt that bad is to not love that much.
One other thing I KNOW is if that lady is not in heaven there's no God. I'm not saying she was a saint, she wasn't. But a better person who would help anyone who needed it in spite of not having anything herself is testament to her heart.

If nothing else I learned that.

Thanks everyone.
Faye's son, Todd

Holy Shit! ---Wednesday, May 24, 2006

I had big ideas for a large scale spleen venting here, but to do that I'd have to "relive" a lot of what's really making me feel like this.

It's death.

I just lost a maternal uncle, and I have an aunt (his sister) who's dying of breast cancer. Both of these folks are my mom's siblings and she's in really bad health herself. In fact she couldn't attend her brother's funeral because of her health. And probably the same with her sister, when that time comes.

Even closer to me however, is a woman I work with at my day job, really sweet lady, is dying from melonoma. The book-keeper at Tony's in dying of breast cancer. And then there's my really good friend Brad, who's been like an older brother/uncle. He's filled in for my dad several times over the last 20 years since my dad died. Ironically enough my dad died from brain cancer, same as Brad is currently fighting.

They moved him to a hospice Tuesday for what was supposed to be 2 weeks to a month, and then yesterday he was diagnosed with pneumonia, which now means he has maybe half of that. In the meantime, I've been out of town for work, my car's been fucking up, I broke my toe. I'm about to the point where I don't know...I was nearly laughing last week...this week...

I just don't know. I need a nap, a laugh...but not a drink. As odd is that is for me to say. I can't...I can't have a couple when I feel like this. I need 30, and then when I wake up...I need 30 more. So I guess I'll have to go it sober until such time that I can deal, not obliterate.

Smoking however....that helps...

Once more around the brain....

So mid-way through another week, I've only spent one night tearing my hair out. I figure that's a good week. I'll see how tonight goes, tomorrow I have Karate, and may go to Kata on Friday morning so that will give me some focus.

I've figured out I spend WAY too much time alone. I spent about all but 8 hours completely alone from Friday 7/22 through Tuesday 7/26 at about 6:30 PM. The longer I'm isolated the more resentment seems to build. I imagine I'd make a good Arch-villian, or some other *Rovian* Evil Genius. But use my powers to destroy all that I consider evil, more on that later....

So this is it?

Being a man means doing the things you don't want to do.

Wasn't there supposed to be more to life than this?

The thought that keeps crossing my mind...how long will it take until someone finds my body when I die?

Before the cat eats it?

Long live Rock!
